Our blog quieted down in December because we have traveled in the USA and visiting people. What fun to see old (and young) faces, catch up with family, and good-ole hang out. Rich, rich, rich are our spirits. Warm, warm, warm are our hearts.
The ONE thing we cannot get in Swaziland? all of you who live in the USA.
We fly back on 11 January, so less than 2 weeks to cram in phone calls, taxes, online doula continuing education classes, visits with family & supporters & friends, deep conversations, plus other random “internet” tasks we can easily carry out here. I’m amazed how little time we’ve had to do these tasks before now.
For now, enjoy a few photos of what we’ve been up to this month.
We spent time in Florida with Sean’s extended family, mom, and step-dad.
… and we played . . .
Back in SC, we spent time with Sean’s dad & step-mom, including some s’mores with Santa downtown…
…Then we fly out to CO and drove to WY . . .
. . . the cold weather hasn’t gotten us down yet, though layers are our friend. .
…to visit my Aunt Kate & cousin Lauralin (and meet her daughter). We accompanied A. Kate while she hunted – there for man-power if she got a deer. . .
. . . Penny & BJ met up with us (with Riggs), and we adventured a bit, catching up on the last year. ..
. . . we’re ending our trip in OH, where we’ve had a reunion. . .
. . . our nephew face-planted into his birthday cake…
. . . and the snow promises that the Dicken-family tradition of sledding with go on, yet another year.
